Her perspective is rooted in a simple belief:

"You don't need to be famous. You need to be known by the right people."

Conversations Kristen Loves to Have

Your Book Isn't the Business

Authors spend years getting the book written and published—and then discover they have no idea what comes next. Kristen talks about how a book can become the beginning of a much larger ecosystem of media, speaking, consulting, intellectual property and opportunity.

You Don't Need to Be Famous. You Need to Be Known by the Right People.

The internet convinced us that authority means followers. Kristen disagrees. She explores the economics of being known by a relatively small number of the right people—and why 500 people who understand your value can matter more than 500,000 passive followers.

AI Is Deciding Who the Experts Are

People aren't only Googling experts anymore. They're asking ChatGPT and other AI platforms who to hire, interview, follow and trust. Kristen explores the emerging Recognition Economy and what experts need to understand about becoming recognizable to humans and machines.

The Internet Has an Opinion About You. Do You Know What It Is?

Your website says one thing. LinkedIn says another. An interview from seven years ago says something else. And AI is assembling all of it into a version of who it thinks you are. Kristen explains why managing your Digital Authority is becoming as important as managing your reputation.

Stop Sounding Like Everyone Else in Your Industry

Most experts have been taught to communicate their credentials. Kristen believes the real competitive advantage is their perspective. She talks about finding your Fingerprint Expertise—the combination of experience, ideas and point of view that makes you difficult to substitute.

Why Brilliant Experts Are Often Terrible Interviews

After thousands of interviews as a journalist, Kristen knows that expertise does not automatically translate into a great interview. She reveals what makes a guest irresistible, why smart people often over-explain, and what journalists and podcast hosts actually need from an expert.

Your Best Marketing Asset May Be Someone Else's Microphone

Instead of constantly creating more content for your own audience, what happens when you borrow audiences that already exist? Kristen talks about podcasts, newsletters, Substack, television, magazines and digital media as an authority-building ecosystem—not just publicity hits.

Your Soul Has a Business Plan

What if your next business isn't something you need to invent, but something you need to uncover? Kristen explores the clues hiding in your experiences, obsessions, natural abilities, detours and intuition—and the courage required to build the business that may already be uniquely yours.

The Identity Lag

Sometimes your business has evolved before your identity catches up. Kristen explores the uncomfortable period when the world still knows you for what you used to do while you're becoming known for something bigger—and why experts often sabotage their next chapter by continuing to market their previous one.

Authority Is Not a Popularity Contest. It's an Economic Model.

Being visible isn't the end goal. Kristen talks about the Math of Authority: how the right message, seen by the right people, connected to the right opportunity can create far more economic value than indiscriminate visibility.
